SOCCER NEWS: CAPPRY ROVERS OVERCOME LIFFORD CELTIC

CAPPRY ROVERS NOTES 

CAPPRY ROVERS LOTTO

Last weeks lotto numbers were 8, 11, 21, 22. There was no jackpot winner.

The winner of the €50 lucky ticket was Gerry Lambe, Stranorlar.

Next weeks jackpot is €1150. Remember if you’re not in you can’t win!!

SENIORS

Cappry Rovers were away to Lifford Celtic on Sunday and they came home with all 3 points thanks to goals from Leo Gallagher and Benny McLaughlin in a 2-1 win. They are away again this Sunday with a trip to Cranford Park to take on Cranford F.C. who beat Donegal Town 4-1 on Sunday. Kick off 2pm.

 

Senior training is on Wednesday evening. Players to be on the pitch for 7.30pm.

 

 

 

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 18’s

 

The under 18’s played Swilly Rovers on Saturday in the FAI Cup in Swilly Park and got a great result winning 2-0. Conor Laverty and Matthew Griffin on target for Cappry.

There is no game this weekend.

 

 

 

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 16’s

 

The under 16’s had their game against Lagan Harps rescheduled for Tuesday evening at Cappry Park with kick off at 7.30pm. Come out and support the lads.

 

 

 

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 14’s

 

The under 14’s were back in league action again this evening (Monday) where the put in a great performance beating Lagan Harps 9-0 with Jamie Murray (2), Kieran Neeson (2), Niall Gallen (2), Alex McGeehan (2) and Joel Bradley Walsh all on target for Cappry.

They have a free weekend this weekend.

Training at 6pm, Cappry Park on Wednesday.

 

The U14 reserves got their league campaign of to the perfect start with a 3-0 win over Lurgy Celtic in Kilmacrennan on Sunday. In a game that Cappry Crusaders controlled throughout Thomas McMenamin grabbed himself a hatrick.

Next up is a home game against Letterkenny Crusaders on Sunday.

 

 

CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 12’s

 

The U12’s had a free weekend but are back in action again on Saturday with a trip to Killygordon to play Curragh Athletic.

 

This year Cappry were able to put 2 teams into the Letterkenny 1st division and they kicked off their season over the weekend. 1st up were the Cappry Crusaders who played Ballyraine Celtic and were very unlucky to get beat 1-0 on Saturday. They hit the woodwork on numerous occasions.

They are away this weekend to play Letterkenny Utd.

 

On Sunday it was the turn of the Cappry Colts and they got off to a dream start with a 6-2 win over Bonagee Athletic with Eoin McGonagle (4), and Eoin Stewart (2) grabbing the goals.

Next up is another home game against Lurgy Celtic at the weekend.

 

Times for both games to be confirmed.

Cappry Rovers are starting a Last Man Standing competition based on Premier league games starting with the fixtures on the 1st week of November.

Anybody interested can get coupons by contacting Danny (087 7797581), Jamie (087 7524128) or any of the coaches. All coupons to be in by 7pm, Friday 31st.
