The students and staff of Scoil Cholmcille in Letterkenny welcomed Joe McHugh TD for a special event yesterday.

The Fine Gael TD took the chance to sharpen his gardening skills by planting a tree in honour of National Tree Day.

Minister McHugh was joined by Mrs Anne McGowan from the Letterkenny Tidy Towns Committee to meet the young gardening experts of the Green Schools Committee, who work under the direction of Ms Ita O Sullivan.
