Disused cars are to be removed from Donegal’s Gola Island between today and tomorrow in a bid to clean up the island.
Old cars have been an eyesore on the island for a number of years.
Now a crane has been organised to transport the cars from the island.
Local county councillor Michael Mac Giolla Easbuig, who has been working with locals on the issue, said he is pleased the work is being done.
“Gola is a beautiful island and the islanders deserve all the support they can get.
“I have been working on this issue for a while and I am delighted that these old cars are to be removed for the island where they have become an eyesore,” he said.
