Triona’s swim school Tonnta is making waves!

Triona Mc Menamin is making waves in Dunfanaghy where she has set up a new swim school, Tonnta based in the Shandon Hotel.

Triona, a local primary school teacher and current coach to the Irish Lifesaving Squad is multi qualified being a level 2 swim coach, surf lifesaving and triathlon coach. Triona also has a great sporting background having won numerous National, European and World Lifesaving titles while being well known on the triathlon, swim and stand up paddle board racing scene in Ireland.

“Swimming is a life skill. I live by the ocean in Dunfanaghy, a gorgeous part of the world and I’m excited about getting more local children and adults into the water to develop their confidence, awareness and aquatic skills. We are going to cater for all levels, it doesn’t matter where you are starting at, our qualified coaches will bring you to the next level,” Triona said.

Tonnta will start teaching lessons to adults and children of all abilities next Monday 6th (adults) and Tuesday 7th (children). Registration takes place in the Shandon Leisure Centre on Mon 30th and Tues 31st Jan from 5-7pm. For more information ring Triona on 0861077380 or Facebook, Tonnta Swim School.
