The Friends of Ronan Sweeney Rehabilitation Fund last night successfully hosted the sold-out event ‘An Evening with Roy Keane’ at the Mount Errigal Hotel.

The event was hosted by broadcaster Claire McCollum, with football legend Roy taking questions from the audience.

After a fall from his bedroom window in Sligo in May 2016, Ronan Sweeney sustained significant spinal injuries.

Although Ronan has made substantial progress in the months following the accident and has been discharged from the National Rehabilitation Hospital to return to his home in Letterkenny, he has been left with limited movement in lower limbs.

The Friends of Ronan Sweeney Rehabilitation Fund is aiming to provide vital resources to allow Ronan to explore spinal rehabilitation facilities, equipment, and mechanisms, to enable to best opportunity for Ronan to make a full recovery.

For more information you can check out the official Facebook page for the Friends of Ronan Sweeney Rehabilitation Fund or if you couldn’t make it along last night and would still like to donate, you can do so by visiting Ronan’s Go Fund Me page.
