Proposals for safety works between the Polestar and Dry Arch Roundabouts in Letterkenny will be discussed at a public information day held by Donegal County Council.

Next Wednesday, business owners and the public are invited to make submissions they deem necessary for the proposed N56 Four Lane Road Letterkenny Safety Improvement Scheme.

This scheme which is being developed by Donegal County Council in partnership with Transport Infrastructure Ireland consists of approximately 1.4Km and will include:

  • The provision of a centre median over the schemes length with the inclusion of right turning lanes for the L11142 Bonagee Road and the L1094-1 Cullion Road.
  • The provision of footpaths and cycle ways.
  • The construction of a walkway/boardwalk for approx 100m adjacent to the River Swilly.
  • The provision of signalised pedestrian crossings.
  • Junction improvement works, pavement, signage and lining and other ancillary works.

Members of the project team will be available at the public information day to explain the proposals and answer any questions from residents, businesses and other members of the public.

This information event will take place at Letterkenny Public Service Centre at Neil T. Blaney Road in Letterkenny on Wednesday 14th June 2017 from 2pm to 8pm.
