Man attacked Go Safe speed van and then threatened to kill Gardai

A man has admitted attacking a Go Safe speed van and smashing two windows in the vehicle.

Mark Fair, aged 26, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court where he pleaded guilty to a number of offences.

Fair, from Balinahone, Fahan, has been in custody for the past four months.

He pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage to the vehicle, the property of Road Safety Ireland, at Lisfannon on August 15th, 2013.

He also pleaded guilty to a range of other charges to Garda Lorraine Crawford as well as a range of various dangerous driving charges.

He further pleaded guilty to making threats to kill a second Garda and burning down the house of a third Garda.

The case has been adjourned until next week for sentence.
