Want to ensure that nobody has Christmas dinner alone?

The Christmas Dinners for those alone on Christmas Day is, once again, being organised by Kathy O’Connor and her team of volunteers in Letterkenny.

Radisson Blu Letterkenny has been involved since day one and has, again, agreed to prepare the main course, sponsoring the bulk of the cost.

Letterkenny Chamber’s role in this most valuable annual event is gathering up the various items that are required to make this event a success.

Now the Chamber has put out an appeal for those willing to help in any way.

Anne Condon of Letterkenny Chamber said “Kathy and myself have made up a list of things that are required and we are hoping that Letterkenny Chamber members will, as usual, provide what is needed to cater for the expected 100 guests.”

A wish list includes rackers, soft drinks, tea, coffee, sugar, table-cloth rolls, napkins, black bags, Christmas pudding, mince pies, tin foil containers etc. There will also be fresh goods to be purchased such as milk and cream.

Organisers are trying to provide a small gift for each guest as they leave and this is normally in the form of a box of sweets, a book, soaps, etc.

If you are a Chamber member or a member of the general public who wants to help out, simply get in contact with Anne at anne@letterkenychamber.com
