In the golfing world, it is always assumed that youth and strength will get you firsts – but Castlefin man Jim Gavin begs to differ!

Celebrating his 78th birthday next month, Jim was absolutely delighted with his first win and made no bones about it when receiving his prize on Saturday evening last and insisted that that was the first of many.

It seems that 2018 is going to be a good year for our senior golfers and indeed it was fitting that on

the night, we had an other senior winning golfer to present the prize, our President Mr Joe Blee.

Quiz

Quiz on Wednesday 7th February Will be for Balor Arts Theatre which was cancelled a few weeks back due to the snow.

Wednesday 14th will be for Friends of Letterkenny University Hospital. Wednesday 21st is for Planet Youth.

Great work done by our Quiz Masters Harry & Kathleen McGowan and the one and only, Tony O’Meara.

Darts

B&S GC Darts team travelled to Tinneys of Castlefin to see if they could continue their good run in the league. Although the matches were all very close, we came home with maximum points which will keep us right up there close to Top of the table. Well done lads.
