November 8, 2018

A 14-year-old girl has been awarded €10,000 following a car crash in Lifford in March, 2016.

The girl, who was 12 years old at the time, was a front seat passenger in a car which was crashed into on Main Street in Lifford.

In the evening of the crash, the girl began to suffer pain in her neck and back and attended her doctor.

She took painkillers but since then has suffered from pains in her back and also suffered from bed-wetting.

However, medical advice said that these will clear up in time.

Barrister for the child, Mr Ian Toner told Letterkenny Civil Court that the client was happy to accept the offer made by the Personal Injuries Assessment Board.

Judge Paul Kelly said he was happy to recommend the offer.
