In a week that that saw Liverpool and Spurs have close encounters the Derryveagh Crystal Schools Golf Final in Dunfanaghy also had dramatic finish.
Ronan Daly the captain of St. Eunan’s College and Christian Harris (St. Eunan’s College) both birdied the 18th to seal the victory for St. Eunan’s College over a gallant Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair.
Pobalscoil Ghaoth Dobhair had the best individual score on the day with Cian Mc Bride on 43 points but St. Eunan’s team effort scores from James Sweeney, Adam Duncan, Ben Hopkins, James O’Donnell and Ronan Coady won the day by 178 points to 174 points.
A special word of thanks to the excellent condition of Dunfanaghy Golf course and the Mr. Pat Swaine who has sponsored the schools for 27 years.
