Listen: Disappointment for McGranaghan as Kilmacrennan left to wait

GERARD McGranaghan admitted the intense disappointment of Kilmacrennan Celtic as they were left to wait on a chance to win the Donegal League title.

On a day when they title could have been theirs, a 3-0 reversal against Castlefin Celtic keeps the Lurgy men waiting for another week.

The defeat was Kilmacrennan’s first in the League this season.

“They’re disappointed, but it’s more disappointment with themselves in how we played as a team and how we went from doing well to today,” McGranaghan told Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub.

“We have another crack at it next week. Maybe we were thinking about other games, but we just have to go again next week.

“We weren’t at the races and we didn’t play well.”
