Congratulations are in order for five cyclists who braved a mammoth 600km cycle from Mizen to Malin Head.
The team reached Ireland’s most northerly point on Tuesday after four gruelling days of cycling.
John Bradley, Trevor James, Aonghus Murphy, Paul Ryan and Michael Mc Aleer were inspired to do the challenge to help a popular young girl – 11-year-old Kaitlyn Glackin.
Kaitlyn is currently in her third battle with leukemia and in hospital care in Dublin. She has dealt with illness from the age of four, but now, he family has found promising treatment options in the UK. The Donegal community has since rallied around them to raise funds that will give Kaitlyn a fighting chance.
One such fundraiser is this week’s mammoth 600km Mizen to Malin cycle.
