Maxi Curran has named his Donegal ladies team to face Galway in the NFL Division 1A opener tomorrow night.

Donegal welcome The Tribeswomen to MacCumhaill Park with throw-in at 7.30pm. The game is also live on TG4 with coverage beginning at 7.15pm.

After reaching the semi-finals last year, before losing out to runners-up Cork, Curran has stated that it’s important to progress in the league competition again, with the championship not starting until June.

Donegal will be hoping to qualify for the semi-final stage again in a group with Galway, Mayo and Westmeath, three teams who they beat in this competition last year.

Donegal: Roisin McCafferty; Shauna McFadden, Evelyn McGinley, Niamh Boyle; Niamh Carr, Feena McManamon, Tara Hegarty; Nicole McLaughlin, Roisin Rodgers; Suzanne White, Niamh McLaughlin (capt.), Shelly Twohig; Bláthnaid McLaughlin, Karen Guthrie, Geraldine McLaughlin.

Galway: A Griffin; S Molloy, E Gavin, A Ní Cheallaigh; K Geraghty, C Cooney, F Cooney; A Davoren, S Ní Loingsigh; L Coen, M Seoighe (capt.), L Finnegan; A O’Rourke, A Trill, L Booth.
