The long-awaited Dunkineely Fiddle Weekend kicks off tomorrow.

Starting Friday, November 18, in the Community Centre at 8pm, with a film celebrating South Donegal’s late, great fiddler John Doherty (pictured).

Then on Saturday there will be a full day of events, starting at 10am for fiddler classes/workshops.

Book your place by contacting donegalfiddlemusic@gmail.com or call 086 340 9019.

Classes are from 10:30am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm, and cost €15.

For the grand finale, be at the centre for 8pm (doors open at 7:30pm) to see the Fiddle Concert, with Aiden O’Donnell, Peter Campbell, Michéal Cherry, Catriona and Sinead Kennedy and more.

And don’t forget, sessions will also be taking place all weekend in Dunkineely town.
