Two drivers have been fined after being caught speeding outside Letterkenny yesterday.
Gardaí from Letterkenny Roads Policing Unit were in action at Leck, following recent reports of speeding.
The legal speed limit in the area in question is 60KPH. However, one driver was detected travelling at 98KPH.
A driver was also detected travelling at 138KPH in a 100KPH speed zone in the Dromore area.
“These drivers will now receive 3 penalty points and a fine of €160,” a garda spokesperson said.
“Please do not risk lives this Bank Holiday weekend by driving too fast. Drive carefully and responsibly. Slow down.”
