Gardaí are appealing to the public to make sure that their vehicle is locked before leaving it unattended.

They issued an appeal last week in  relation to a number of unlocked cars that were entered into in the Milford area on June 6th.

Gardaí have since received more reports in relation to that were entered in the same area between June 5th and 6th. These vehicles too were unlocked at the time.

“Regardless of whether you are leaving your vehicle in a public carpark or in your own driveway unattended, lock it up and do not leave any valuables inside such as cash or jewellery,” a garda spokesperson said.
