Met Eireann has issued a status yellow warning for Donegal and other counties today due to a risk of thunderstorms.
Localised showers with heavy downpours could have an impact from 3pm – 9pm today (Thursday).
There will also be gusty winds and a chance of hail.
Motorists are advised to expect localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
The warning is also in place for Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Connacht, Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath.
