There’s been plenty of thrills in stage one of the Wilton Recycling Donegal International Rally.
Reigning champions Josh Moffett and Andy Hayes are in first place after the Donegal Bay stage. They lead by 2.9 seconds as they chase a second consecutive victory.
Matt Edwards and David Moynihan have suffered a broken diff on their Polo R5, and lost a critical 25 seconds.
Derry’s Callum Devine and Noel O’Sullivan are second after the early battle. Garry Jennings and Rory Kennedy are coming up close at 3rd. Sam Moffett/Keith Moriarty finish in fourth and Desi Henry/Paddy Robinson are in fifth place.
The crews are now en route to the Copany stage which is expected to begin at 1.25pm
