A small Inishowen shop is celebrating after it was revealed it has sold the winning lotto ticket worth more than €6 million.
The ticket was sold at McCarron’s Village Shop in Quigley’s Point and is worth a staggering €6,373,878.
The National Lottery has confirmed that the winning owner of the Donegal ticket has been ion contact with them.
Another store in Golden Island Shopping Centra in Athlone, Co. Westmeath also sold a winning ticket and shared the jackpot of more than €12 million.
Officials from the National Lottery will visit the two winning stores in Westmeath and Donegal today to officially announce the two winning Lotto locations.
The village of Quigley’s Point is awash with rumours of who the owner of the winning ticket may be.
However, Donegal Daily understands the ticket could well belong to someone from outside the county who was passing through Quigley’s Point.
All will be revealed on Thursday as the winning owner of the Donegal ticket is expected to travel to Lotto Headquarters in Dublin to collect their life-changing cash sum.
