A committee spokesperson said it was the perfect start to a great weekend of music.
They stated: “It’s been a great start to the festival and we are looking forward to the days ahead. There’s so many quality acts to come and the weather has helped too, so the atmosphere is amazing already with plenty more to come.
This is the first time the festival has run since 2019 and would not be possible without the support of the local community, the festival founders, and the sponsors including Failte Ireland, Guinness, Heinken and Tease Construction, as well as the local businesses, they added.
With four more days and many more acts to come Dunfanaghy Jazz and Blues is back with a bang.
