It’s a sign of the times for the banking sector in Donegal.

The Ulster Bank in Letterkenny closed its doors in April after decades of service to the local community.

The move was part of a complete shutdown of its Irish services by the bank’s parent company, Nat West.

Today, workmen moved on the site and removed the famous bank sign from above its front door.

Donegal Daily understands the building is now to be put on the market by a national estate agent.
