A rare partial eclipse of the moon is expected to take place tonight.
It’s expected to be visible all across Ireland according to Astronomy Ireland, if clear weather conditions allow for it.
They say the best part of the partial eclipse is expected to take place between 8:35pm and 9:53pm, and that you can expect the eclipse to look like someone has “taken a bite” out of the moon with around 12% of it to be covered.
Astronomy Ireland have also asked the public to capture their best photos of the eclipse and submit them to their magazine.
