The local community in Rathmullan showed up in force this afternoon for the annual Polar Plunge.
The event had been postponed due to a weather warning near the end of last year, but enthusiasm was far from dampened.
Braving the icy water, members of the emergency services, as well as community groups and residents all took the plunge from Rathmullan Pier to raise money for the Special Olympics today.
Thanks to Joe Boland of NW Newspix for braving the cold himself to grab these pics of the plunge.
