The only mainland official Darkness Into Light in the Rosses takes place this Saturday morning in Burtonport, commencing at 4.15am from the community centre.
This is the first time for Burtonport to host the event, and the organisers are expecting a good turn out on Saturday morning.
Here are a few important pointers for participants.
Registration is still open online at www.darknessintolight.ie, or you can still register on the morning of the event and avail of your t-shirt (limited t-shirts available).
The walk will leave Burtonport Community Centre (F94 VW95) at 4.15am sharp. Please arrive from 3.45am.
Consider local neighbours and keep noise to a minimum.
Parking available at the venue.
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please keep them on a short lead and pick up after them.
It is advisable to bring a torch for personal use and wear a high viz/reflective top.
If you’re walking in memory of someone and would like to carry a picture or a memory of them, please feel free.
Participants are welcome back to the community centre for refreshments and a chat after the walk.
