Raphoe badminton player Rachel Darragh has been drawn against a former Olympic gold medalist in her group for the Paris Olympics.

She has been drawn against 2016 gold medalist Carolina Marin of Spain, who is the fourth seed in the competition.

Swiss player Jenjira Stadelmann has also been drawn in Group L of the competition.

Stadelmann also poses a tough test for Darragh, as she won a European bronze medal just last year as well.

Competition in the women’s singles badminton starts on July 27th in Paris.
