Celebrating 20 years in business this year, Inis Communications is a results-driven PR agency based in Inishowen.

The agency works with SMEs, professional practices, social enterprises and public sector projects across Ireland and Europe. Inis Communications executes PR campaigns for print and online media and provides website content and social media services for a diverse range of clients.

Founded by Director Trish Hegarty – an ex-BBC and Irish Times journalist – Inis Communications has a 20-year track record of reaching large audiences for their clients. The agency is constantly innovating and recently launched The Inis exPRtise™ PR Toolkit to make PR more accessible and affordable for SMEs who want to grow. Earlier this year, Inis Communications became the first Donegal agency to be shortlisted for a national ‘Excellence in PR Award’ run by the Public Relations Institute of Ireland, (PRII), and the Public Relations Consultant Association (PRCA).

Supports from LEO

Inis Communications has always had a close working relationship with the team at Local Enterprise Office Donegal.

Commenting on the supports the agency has received from the Local Enterprise Office, Trish said: “Thanks to the various supports from the Local Enterprise Office, I’ve been able to strengthen my online presence and navigate the ever-changing digital landscape through the Trading Online Voucher programme. The Business Expansion Grant has also been instrumental in growing my business and expanding its scope.

“I’ve found the mentoring programme to be incredibly valuable, providing guidance and expertise that have been crucial for business development.

“Another standout support has been the Ambition female accelerator programme, which I completed. The programme is specifically designed for women entrepreneurs, equipping us with the skills and resilience needed to build globally scalable ventures, attract investment, and create jobs. It’s an excellent resource for any woman in business.

“The Local Enterprise Office offers a wide range of supports—it’s just about finding the ones that best suit your business and your goals.”
