Gardaí issue appeal over serious Ballybofey assault 

Gardaí are appealing for information after a serious assault which took place in Ballybofey at the weekend.

The incident occurred at a takeaway premises on Main Street at around 3.:40 am on Saturday morning.

A man reported that he was assaulted by another man at that location. He had to receive medical treatment at Letterkenny University Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

“We appeal to anybody who may have witnessed the incident to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” Garda Clare Rafferty said.

If anybody travelled at Main Street between 3.15am and 4am with a dash-cam, they are also urged to make the footage available to Gardaí. The Garda Confidential Line may be contacted on 1800 666 111.
