The lucky winner, who wishes to remain anonymous, also received the lucky ticket for her birthday.
“It’s the best birthday present ever,” smiled the happy winner. “I can’t wait to see how they’ll beat this next year.”
The lucky ticket was bought in Easons, Courtyard Shopping Centre, Letterkenny.
There has been wild speculation about the winner since donegaldaily.com revealed on Tuesday the winning ticket was bought in Co Donegal.
The winner joined others in Dublin today to collect their cheques from the Millionaire Raffle draw.
The lucky mum is just the latest winner from the county – following two millionaires in recent months.
Meanwhile a syndicate of 33 colleagues from the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin shared a €250,000 prize from the draw.
“I always knew we would win big, it was just a matter of time and patience,” said one of the happy syndicate members. “This is just the start of our lucky streak, we will continue to play and who knows we could be back in here again on Friday collecting a EuroMillions win.” added the happy man.
A member of the lucky group checked the ticket on Tuesday evening. “I got a call from my colleague who thought we won a prize in the raffle. I didn’t believe him so I asked my daughter to check the ticket online. When she did and realised we had won €250,000 she nearly fell off the seat with the shock,” laughed the happy man.
