BROTHERS APPEAR IN COURT AFTER DRUGS HAUL SEIZED

Two Donegal brothers have appeared in court today charged with having more than €1,500 worth of drugs.

Wayne and John Paul McLaughlin appeared at Letterkenny District Court after being arrested in Letterkenny yesterday.

The men were arrested by detectives with the drugs in the Hawthorn Heights area of the town.

The brothers, from Bray Cottage, Magherahan, Raphoe appeared in court accompanied by two women.

Evidence of the arrests under the Criminal Law and Misuse of Drugs Act was given by local detectives Stephen McGonagle and Paul Harte.

The accused were released on bail by Judge Paul Kelly to appear in court again on January 16th.

The men agreed to surrender their passports and to sign on at Letterkenny Garda station twice a week.
