What is your favourite place in Donegal and why?
Port, near Ardara. Stunning drive to get there, absolutely isolated and a breathtaking location when you arrive. Feels like you are at the edge of the world (and you kinda are!).

The weather. More sunshine. Less rain.

Who is the one person in Donegal who you look up to and why?
Former county councillor Seamus Rodgers. A moderate and always a voice for reason when it wasn’t as fashionable as it is now. Ahead of history not constrained by it and prepared to say it – a rare thing for a Donegal politician, or any politician anywhere.

Killybegs carpets. Wish I owned one. Wish I had a house big enough to put one in.

Joyce McMullan – neighbour, class act and All-Star when Donegal football was a very different proposition.
