A Letterkenny man who was staggering around a road holding a bottle of vodka has been fined €150.
Joe Magill, aged 57, appeared at Letterkenny District Court charged with being intoxicated.
Garda Inspector Sean Grant told the court that Magill, of The Maples, Lismonaghan, Letterkenny was approached by Gardai in an intoxicated state at The Maples on February 2nd last.
Solicitor Kieran O’Gorman said his client had split from his partner and has a drink problem and has received treatment for his problem.
