Our man wins Irish Open Media Day – and will compete in Pro-Am in July!

Donegal Daily/Donegal Sport Hub’s Charlie Collins will play a part in the Pro-Am at the 2018 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.

The Letterkenny man and noted golfer won the Dubai Duty Free Media Day competition yesterday.

The competition was played on the Glashedy Links course, which will host the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open in July.

Charlie teamed up with Destination Golf writer Kevin Markham.

Charlie and Kevin scored 39 stableford points to give them a six-point win over two other teams which included the legendary Des Smyth and RTÉ Golf Correspondent Greg Allen.

The big prize was entry into the Pro-Am on Wednesday, July 4.
