Letterkenny Golf Club are into the semi-finals of the Donegal Senior League.

After a disappointing 3-2 defeat at home, Barry Kavanagh rallied his team to a 3-2 win away in Ballyliffin.

That left boy wonder Cian Harkin to seal the deal on the 1st playoff hole.

Up next is either Bundoran or Strabane on September 8th in Portsalon at 2.30pm.

The All Ireland Fourball failed to get to the Ulster Final. With four of the five games up after 9 holes all was looking good however the team went down on a very narrow margin in the end. They were up in holes but just not getting the extra point needed, 4:1 on the day the final result of 6:4 going to Templepatrick.

A big thank you on behalf of the Club to all the Panel that contributed to the journey and Team Captain Chris Nee who is already planning his strategy for 2020.

Letterkenny juniors competed for both Captain John Bowe & Lady Captain Angela Bradley prizes in the last week.

Two (2) handicap Junior Captain Cian Harkin showed his class in the boys section by winning both John & Angela’s prizes with respective scores of 38pts & 37pts. Super golf from Cian with Adam Duncan runner up in the Lady Captains & young Ciaran Mc Cormack runner up in the boys Captains.

In the girls section  Sarah Mc Brearty & Cliodhna Patton shared the prizes. Sarah (35 points) winning Captain John’s prize with Cliodhna runner up & Cliodhna (37 points) then winning Lady Captain Angela’s prize with Sarah collecting runner up spot.
