Man pleads guilty to Lifford attack

A Raphoe man has pleaded guilty to assault causing harm and causing criminal damage when he appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court.

Leon Kelly, of The Close, Raphoe, pleaded guilty to the incident which happened on April 13th, last year at Beechwood Grove in Lifford.

He admitted assaulting and causing harm to both Kevin and Ann Mitchell.

He also pleaded guilty to damaging an Audi A4 car on the same date and also damaging the front wall of 40 Beechwood Grove.

Barrister for Kelly, Mr Peter Nolan, asked for a probation and welfare report to be prepared in the case.

Judge John Aylmer adjourned the case until the October session for sentencing and remanded Kelly in custody.
