Donegal has Ireland’s highest Covid-19 incidence rate, new figures show.
Eleven new cases of the virus were reported in the county today, with the weekend figures not yet released by NPHET.
The 14-day incidence rate in Donegal is now 204.2 per 100,000 population, almost twice the national average of 115 per 100,000.
Nationally, no further coronavirus-related deaths and 403 new cases were reported today.
On the vaccine front,1,204,063 doses of Covid-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland up to 17th April. 852,189 people have received their first dose and 351,874 people have received their second dose.
There are now 183 Covid patients in Irish hospitals, including 50 in ICU.
The latest data from Letterkenny University Hospital, released at 8pm last night, recorded 11 Covid-19 patients onsite, with two patients with Covid-19 in ICU.
