A man has been sent forward for trial at Letterkenny Circuit Court charged with allegedly sexually assaulting another man at a Letterkenny Hotel.
The man appeared at Letterkenny District Court today where the court was told the Director of Public Prosecutions has decided the case should be heard before a judge and jury.
A publication order preventing the accused man’s name being published was granted to protect the identity of the alleged victim in the case.
The man is charged within sexually assaulting another man at McGettigan’s Hotel on August 29th, 2020.
Evidence was given to Judge Brendan O’Reilly that a book of evidence had been served on the accused.
The accused did not speak during the brief hearing.
The case was adjourned and the accused was bailed to appear at Letterkenny Circuit Court on May 22nd.
