A grant of more than €86,000 has been awarded to help develop a forested area in Donegal.
The Laracus/Errigal Forest Walk is a much-loved forest trail off the R256 between Gleneavh and Falcarragh.
The funding, announced by Minister for Rural and Community Development, Heather Humphreys, will connect two forest roads with two new sections of trail.
The woodland path on the Laracus/Errigal Forest Walk is mostly flat and is suitable for pushchairs and would be ideally for cycling.
The Minister today announced funding of €3 million to develop and upgrade over 300 forest parks, walking trails and outdoor amenities.
