Tributes have been paid to Honourary Garda Eoin Arnold after his passing.
Eoin was made an Honorary Garda as a part of the Little Blue Heroes charity programme.
Donegal Gardaí paid tribute to the “Little Blue Hero” on social media this afternoon.
“Our hearts are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our Honorary Garda Eoin Arnold (HG 474) from Inver.”
“Our thoughts and prayers are with his parents, Paul & Orla, his big brother Jamie & his extended family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.”
“Our little colleague, our good friend and our hero forever. Rest in peace Eoin. Rest with the angels.”
Eoin’s obituary notice is as follows:
Our brave beautiful little boy Eoin Anthony Arnold, loved and adored by his Mama (Orla), Daddy (Paul) and his big brother Jamie, peacefully passed away at his home in Meenacahan, Inver, Co. Donegal.
Eoin was surrounded, as he has been throughout his illness, by the love, care and devotion of his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, the prayers and goodwill of the communities and by his Nurses. You will always be our Twinkle Little Star, shine bright, sleep tight.

Eoin will repose at the family home Meenacahan Inver, F94 T6N9 on Sunday from 2pm to 10pm and Monday from 11am to 10pm, walk through only please. House private at all other times please.
Mass of Angels at 11am Tuesday in the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Frosses with internment in the adjoining cemetery.
