It was a trip to forget for the seniors as an under-powered performance saw Downings emerge victorious on a 0-4 to 1-8 scoreline in the second round of the league. The reserves continued their unbeaten progress with a 1-10 to 1-10. Next up for the adult footballers is the visit St Patrick’s Muff to Fr Tierney Park this Saturday. The reserve game throws-in at 5.30pm and is followed by the seniors at 7pm.

The U-16s made it five out of five with a gritty 1-11 to 1-9 away win over Naomh Mhuire. The U-14 county Féile final failed to go ahead as scheduled.
Competition for the U-12 for the year starts next Monday when the lads travel to Naomh Bríd for a Go Games blitz. All players are to assemble at Fr Tierney Park for 5.15pm. The games will be throwing up in Ballintra at 6pm.
A busy few days for Aodh Ruadh juvenile hurlers began on Thursday with the U-14s and minors both in action against St Eunan’s in the second round of the Donegal Leagues and secured their second win of the campaign on a 4-7 to 3-3 scoreline. On Saturday they face the long trip to Carndonagh to take part in the County Féile.
Good luck to U-12 hurlers Pauric Keenaghan, Seosaimh McGee, Aaron Peach, Odhran Kennedy, Darren Sharp, Evan McTiernan and Ciaran Meehan who take part in the Ulster GAA activity day in Croke Park on Wednesday as part of the Donegal U-12 development squad.
The U-14 girls played host to St Naul’s in their second league match of the year for what really was a game of two halves, winning 5-5 to 2-3.
Our next collection of aluminium cans for recycling to raise much needed funds for Aodh Ruadh and to help protect the local environment takes place this Saturday at Fr Tierney Park from 12 noon to 1pm.
