Caitlin Mc Laughlin aged 17 from Burnfoot and Chloe Mc Carron aged 19 and from Drumfries outside Buncrana. Caitlin attends Scoil Mhuire, Buncrana & Chloe studies music in the Northwest College in Derry.

“I (Caitlin) was singing on my own when Chloe (my brother Ryan’s friend) suggested us getting a few gigs together. So we started last summer and we just sang under the name ‘Caitlin & Chloe’, playing in bars around Inishowen and Derry and church weddings and pre-reception in hotels”

“A few months ago we got our own Facebook page and took the name Velvet Rosé. We started posting a few videos and got a fairly good response. Then last Friday week came back early after playing at the charity 24 hours of music in The Pulse and we just started messing about with a couple of song and came up with the wee mash-up.”

This video is a brilliant mashup of Took A Pill In Ibiza, I Wish I Was A Punk Rocker With Flowers In My Hair and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

After posting the mash up which has over 40,000 views now, the girls found themselves blown away with the response they received.

“On Saturday we sang live on Highland Radio, which was nerve wrecking, but we got on grand” – said Caitlin Mc Laughlin.

Simply click play on the video to listen to the very unique and talented Caitlin and Chloe.
