Brendan Gallagher is Golfer of the Week in busy time at Otway Golf Club

A busy time in Otway Golf Club’s 2018 open week started on Saturday, July 14, with a 4 BBB won by Dave Hughes and Shaun Duffy, with Brendan Gallagher and Mark Friel in second place and Noel Fisher and Peter Friel in third. 

Sunday’s Singles s/f was won by John McClafferty with Paddy Lynch in second, Brendan Gallagher taking the gross and Anthony McFadden in third.

Tuesday’s singles stroke was won by Brendan Gallagher with Sam Anderson in second and Philip Friel taking the gross. 

Wednesday’s 3-Ball Scramble was won by Charlie, Tommy and Barry Patton, followed by John & Shane Patton and Pauric Morrison in second and Kathleen and Johnny Deeney and Orla Gallagher in third. 

Thursday’s singles stableford was won by Damian Gallagher, with Noel Fisher in second, Philip Friel taking the gross and Dan Canning in third. 

Friday’s 3-ball scramble was won by Gerry & Paul Gallagher and Paddy Lynch, with Philip and Mark Friel and Francis McFadden in second and John and Dara Patton and Pauric Morrison in third. 

Saturday’s 3 Ball Scramble was won by Odhran Patton, Gerard Dorrian and Pauric Morrison, with Michael and Colette Ewings and Hazel Russell in second and Peter Friel, Noel Fisher and Kevin Toland taking third. 

Sunday’s Singles Stableford was won by Pat McNulty, which was a delight for Tyrone fans after Saturday’s disappointment. 

In second place was Shaun Duffy and Brendan Gallagher took the gross. 

Brendan Gallagher took the prize of Golfer of the Week.

This Sunday at Otway, male members will compete in the Pier Hotel Cup, and players in the singles matchplay are also reminded, by Mr Duffy, to have their matches played without delay.
