A number of golfers braved the elements last Sunday morning at Cloughaneely Golf Club and they enjoyed a team scramble.

The winners helped  by a good handicap were Chris McCallion, Mick Ryan and John Murphy.

The longest drive was won by Joe McGarvey who won a very special limited edition pen and said he’ll treasure it forever!

There will be a Table Quiz in the Gweedore Bar on Friday 27th March organised by Bridie Doherty and the club encourage all Members to support. There are three fabulous raffle prizes: a hamper, a painting donated by Breda McGeady and a bottle of whiskey. Raffle tickets are available from various Members.

Well done to the other Joe McGarvey (Falcarragh post office) on winning the recent bonus ball and a 2020 Golf Membership.

The 2020 Golf Membership is open more details please email info@cloughaneelygolfclub.ie.

There is a very busy schedule of Gaeltacht Alliance matches soon. Cloughaneely GC are away to Cruit Island on Saturday 21st March, home in Cloughaneely on Saturday 28th March and the Gaeltacht Captain’s Final Day is away in Gaoth Dobhair on Saturday 4th April.
