Two more people with confirmed Covid-19 have died in Ireland, the Department of Health reports today.
A further 511 new cases of the virus have been reported nationwide.
There are currently 242 patients with Covid-19 in Irish hospitals, including 65 in ICU. The latest data from Letterkenny University Hospital last night recorded three patients with Covid-19 onsite and zero Covid-19 patients in critical care.
The county-by-county breakdown of Covid-19 cases across Ireland has not been published by NPHET in today’s update.
There has now been a total of 4,715 Covid-19 related deaths in Ireland and 237,695 confirmed cases since the pandemic began.
As of March 31st 2021, 865,460 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been administered in Ireland:
- 619,003 people have received their first dose
- 246,457 people have received their second dose
