A very mixed day of weather is in store.
Met Éireann say that scattered showers will spread from the late morning on, and continue throughout the day with some intermittent sunny spells also.
Rain will turn heavier later on, with the national forecaster saying there is the potential for spot flooding in some areas as a result. Highest temperatures during today between 7 and 9 degrees celsius.
Temperatures will turn notably cooler again tonight, with temperatures dipping to between 0 and 4 degrees and the potential of frost also.
