Two of Donegal’s youngest gardaí are setting a shining example after passing a fleet inspection.
This is Seachtain Na Gaeilge, and there could be no better youngsters to represent the West Donegal Gaeltacht community than the Little Blue Heroes, honorary gardaí Oisín Campbell and Rory McDevitt.
Chief Superintendent Goretti Sheridan and Sergeant John Joe Mc Clafferty conducted the vehicle inspection at Bunbeg station and happily reported that the duo passed with flying colours.
Gardaí issued a special word of thanks to H/Garda Oisín’s brother Dónal who helped out on the day.
Watch here:
Oisín from Magheraclogher, the son of Cathal and Fionnuala, has been an honorary garda for three years, serving his community with pride.
Rory, from Sheskinbeg, is the son of Alan and Claire Louise. Last year he reached amazing heights when his family took him to the top of Errigal in a fundraiser for the Little Blue Heroes charity.
Little Blue Heroes is a charity established by Garda staff which aims to support local Gardaí in providing financial assistance to families in need in their local communities who have children undergoing long-term medical treatment for critical illness.
