Battles for turkeys begin at Otway Golf Club

Competitors in the hunt for first turkey of the winter last Sunday at Otway Golf Club enjoyed a fresh soft day, but the scoring was still impressive for a three-man team.

The winners of the first 2018 winter open turkey scramble were Mark Friel, Francis McFadden and Damian Gallagher, so congratulations to the men on their victory.

Plenty more birds are on offer in the Sunday scrambles, which tee off at 1pm sharp with names into the clubhouse by 12.45.

If you’re interested in nabbing a bird indoors, the weekly Wednesday cards for turkeys have also started up in the clubhouse at Otway, with a 7pm start, with tea served at the break.
