Caoimhe Lafferty wins ladies competition at Letterkenny Golf Club

THE Letterkenny Ladies Golf competition on Thursday 23rd July sponsored by Tracy Spence and Veronica McAteer was won by Caoimhe Lafferty with 35 points.

Picture: Winning Ladies Team in the recent Club Classic Eileen Williamson, Kate Gallagher, Sarah and Mary Beth McBrearty. Seated are Club Captains Ed Margey and Celine Markey with sponsor Brendan Kelly.

Runner-Up was Katrina Rainey 32 points (bot).

In third place, making a welcome return to golf, was Deirdre McCarron 32 points. Fourth was Ann Cannon 31 points (bot); Front 9 Maureen Sweeney 19 points; Back 9 Tracy Spence 17points.

Ladies will compete for Mr.Captain Ed Margey’s Prize on Tuesday August 11th and the ladies club warmly extend best wishes to Ed for a successful week of events climaxing on Saturday 15th with the main event Captain’s Day.

AIB Open will be on Tuesday 18th August and the Peggy Forde Open will be on Thursday 27th.

Best wishes again to our own Lady Captain Ms.Celine Markey for her big day, this Saturday, and best of luck to all competing.
