THE competition last weekend at Buncrana Golf Club was the Daniel Kearney Hon. Vice-President Open Stableford.

Once again there was a tremendous turnout for Dan’s competition.

This is a testament of the high esteem Dan is held in by the members and local golfing fraternity.

With some difficult pin positions and the rough starting to thicken up scoring was always going to be tough.

The best score of the weekend was 42 points returned by Neil Boyle and this is a much welcome return to form for Neil who played some very consistent golf over his round.

It  could have the been the break from his regular fourball and the added concentration of the new group that got Neil back to winning ways but he will certainly hope to carry this form back into his regular fourball next week.

The full results of the Daniel Kearney Open Stableford are as follows; 1st Neil Boyle (19) 42 pts, 2nd Tony Hegarty (6) 41 pts b.o.t. Gross Pauric O’ Flaherty (3) 66 gross b.o.t., 3rd Ciaran Mc Ateer (12) 41 pts b.o.t., Best Day (Sat) Anthony Mc Fadden (18) 40 pts, Visitor Sean Meenan (12) 39 pts and Back 9 Anthony Coyle (20) 24 pts. CSS 64/38 pts
