A select number of main roads across Donegal are to be gritted this evening as temperatures drop below freezing.
Donegal County Council has announced plans for gritting to begin from 5pm.
Gritting will focus on the National Primary North route, Letterkenny Town, Stranorlar North and Stranorlar East.
Later at 8pm, gritters will treat routes at Inishowen South, Inishowen East, Inishowen West, Milford South and Milford North.

Motorists are being advised to take care on all roads tonight and assume no road is ice free.
Met Eireann is forecasting another cold night, with lows of -1C.
The forecast says: “Mostly dry, but rather cloudy tonight, with patchy drizzle affecting Donegal. Some breaks in the cloud away from the west coast will allow temperatures to fall to between +3 and -1 degrees with frost. In light winds, patches of mist and fog will develop by morning.”
